The festival on the weekend of April 21-23, 2017, features Yves Moreau and France Bourque-Moreau. Yves and France are teaching a program of Bulgarian and International dances. Orkestar RTW from Seattle is returning to provide live music for the Saturday evening party.

The location is the Peretz Centre, 6184 Ash Street, Vancouver, BC.

The cost is $185 / US$150 before March 1, and $195 / US$160, after that. Price List
Reduced fees for work exchange, youth (up to 30 yrs) and elders (80+).

To register, use online form or print and mail this form. Because of the overwhelming response, part-time Saturday registrations for day-time workshops is closed. There is no limit for the Saturday evening party.

Billeting is available. Apply on the registration form. Be aware, most homes are more than a half hour drive from the hall.

Saturday afternoon workshops are particularly popular. To counter that, Laura and Erika have been invited back to teach singing/drumming workshops during the first afternoon workshop, then France is scheduled to lead a workshop on teaching folk dancing to children during the second afternoon workshop. Yves workshop on teaching folk dancing to adults is scheduled for Sunday morning.

  • On Thursday, April 20, 7-10pm, Yves and France will do a workshop at Surrey International Folk Dancing at Walnut Road Elementary School, 16152 82 Ave, Surrey. Admission: $10 drop-in, or $5 for SIFD members.
  • Yves and France will be at the Sunday evening dinner/dance on April 23 at Dale’s house in Surrey. Admission is by donation ($10 suggested), which goes to Yves and France. RSVP. Limited to approximately 40 people.
