France Bourque-Moreau’s main specialty and work is teaching French-Canadian and multicultural folk dances to elementary school children. She has been doing this for over 40 years. Her repertoire includes hundreds of fun dances from French-Canada and from all over the World. We are considering asking her to do a special teaching techniques workshop on Sunday morning. This could be done in parallel with a review workshop by Yves, for the attendees who do not want to learn to teach dances to children.

Interested in tips on teaching dance to adults?
Yves Moreau is qualified to teach tips and techniques for teaching folk dancing to adults, either experienced or beginners. We are considering asking him to do a special teaching techniques workshop on Sunday morning. This could be done in parallel with a review workshop by France, for the attendees who do not want to learn to teach dances to adults.

What to do in Sunday afternoon workshops?
The last session for each instructor on Sunday after lunch has, in past festivals, been a regular session, in which the instructor is asked to teach one new easy dance as well as reviewing a few of the previously learned dances. Here are the reasons:
- There have always been at least a couple of people who attend only on Sunday afternoon.
- A review session where all festival dances are quickly reviewed can be overwhelming.
- All the dances are distributed on DVD shortly after the festival.
How should the last two sessions on Sunday afternoon be structured?

Do you teach folk dancing?
In discussing the idea of France doing a workshop to teach how to teach, we wonder how many Lyrids attendees teach dances at their club, or in their communities?
